Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor/Manager you will set and operate the CNC machines in a safe and competent manner and to work as part of a team ensuring that production schedules for the Machine Shop are met.

​Ideally you will have at least 3 years machining experience working in a similar industry and will understand the principles of G code CNC programs.

You will have significant exposure of assembling mechanical or electro-mechanical products to deadlines in a manufacturing environment using MS Excel, Word and EPR/MRP software packages to pick and use components and report progress. 

 

Reporting to the Instrumentation Assembly Supervisor/Manager where you will be responsible for the assembly of precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components.

You will be a skilled CNC Setter/Operator/Programmer Turner to support the department supervisor with setting and operating their production machines along with the programming and proving out of new parts on our twin spindle Turning centres. Working as part of the team on either Star sliding head machines or Nakamura twin spindle machines, both with Fanuc controls and with their latest Okuma machinery using OSP controls. Exposure on Fanuc controlled machines or OSP controls is essential with sliding head lathes would be beneficial but not essential as training will be provided and the opportunity for sponsorship.

Ideally you will have a BTEC/Apprenticeship Level 3 or equivalent in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with exposure using hand tools and a high degree of manual dexterity and reading technical drawings.

Advanced AutoCAD 2D/3D, Revit or Athena is essential with a proven technical industry exposure and understanding of Building Physics relating to the workings of door, window and curtain walling systems with general façade design and methodology to design ideas that include factors such as appearance, safety, function, serviceability, budget, production and market characteristics.

You’ll provide design support and product application for early stage project proposals. Working

closely with architects, partners, product management, training, engineering, sales and specification teams to provide market leading technical advice, acting as ‘Subject Matter Experts’ and supporting

partner training on business systems, industry standards and regulations.Understanding of Building Physics relating to fenestration and fabrication with practical knowledge of BIM, AutoCAD, Revita, calculations and scheduling packages such as Logikal, SAP etc with lean six sigma and continuous improvement.

You will report to the Instrumentation Assembly Supervisor you will be responsible for the assembly and testing of hydraulic flow equipment and completing the associated documentation working methodically within a production assembly environment. You’ll be self-motivated with great work ethics, punctual, reliable with mechanical or problem-solving skills whilst using tools with the ability to read technical drawings to record relevant and accurate information on MS Excel. You will enjoy learning and possess a collaborative and motivated approach with the attitude to make things happen.
